Battery Performance in the Cold

Lithium cells deliver less power when cold, so a device may feel weaker or fire less steadily outdoors. The effect is temporary and recovers as it warms.

Thicker E-Liquid, Tighter Draw

Cold thickens e-liquid, which can make the draw feel denser or slower. Bringing the device to room temperature usually restores the normal feel.

Storage Through Winter

• Keep devices at room temperature when not in use.
• Avoid leaving them in a cold car overnight.
• Let a cold device warm up before use.

When to Let It Warm

If a draw feels off after being outside, wait a few minutes indoors. Forcing a cold device rarely helps and is unnecessary once it returns to temperature.

Travelling in Winter

When moving between cold outdoors and warm indoors, let the device settle before use. Sudden temperature shifts are the main cause of a weak or uneven draw.

Keep the device in an inside pocket rather than an outer bag. Body heat is enough to hold a steady temperature through a cold commute.
